lot-0200-by-ted-fields-2014
MODERNIST INTERIOR WITH FIGURES AND HOUSEPLANT BY TED FIELDS (2014)

A confident modernist interior, with two slender males (father and son?) and a spindly houseplant, by D.C., artist TED FIELDS. Executed with peculiar harmony in cool greens and rosy pinks, several elements that playfully underscore modernism’s prefigurement in 15th-century mannerism are incorporated: asymmetrical composition; the oddly small heads, stylized features, and elongated limbs of the figures; and a flattened pictorial plane. Signed and dated by the artist in the lower right. Smartly presented in a thinly white-washed frame.

DETAILS

Artist – TED FIELDS

Period/Year – 2014

Origin – USA

Styles/Movements – MODERN

Media – OIL

Support – CANVAS

Colors – KELLY GREEN, ROSE, OYSTER, ROBIN'S EGG

Condition – Excellent vintage condition.
